1.The Competitors locking lever is the main problem with the club. The threaded stud is not aligned with the head and the nut will not seat on the face of the shank causing the unit to lock on one side. They have used a soft washer to hide this problem but the assembly does not lock solid. The lever catches on grass and pops off.

1.The plastic locking lever is too short to apply
enough pressure to lock the unit solid.

2. The plastic lever pops off in long grass.
The Universal Clubs  Locking Lever is made of  431 Stainless Steel and is twice as long  to
allow for 2 times the leverage of others for a
solid  connection.

The Lever is relative to the shank so it is always hidden behind the shaft whereas the others are relative to the head and is in different position with each different club number.
3. The lever is pointed in a different position with each club.
A lever adjustment with the Universal Club
can be made quickly by turning the lever 6 turns and setting the coupler in a new position on the socket. The plastic divnick lever must be removed by prying off with a screwdriver and pounded back in a new position with a hammer. This allows the plastic lever to be larger and can catch on grass because of the loose fit.
4. A screwdriver is recommended to pry off lever when adjustment is needed and a hammer to knock it back on .
